Toll attacks: Raj Thackeray booked
The Pune Police have booked Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo Raj Thackeray in two cases for allegedly instigating his party workers to vandalise toll booths in Maharashtra.
"We have booked Thackeray for instigating his party workers to indulge in violence," Additional Superintendent of Police (Pune rural) Ravindrasinh Pardeshi told The Times of India.
"Thackeray had asked his workers through the media not to pay toll in the state and demolish toll nakas. We have filed two separate cases against him in the district," he said.
Pertinently, Thackeray recently asked his party workers not to pay toll even at the cost of resorting to violence.
MNS workers have targeted toll booths across Maharashtra since he gave the order.
