Central Railway (CR) will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections tomorrow for carrying out maintenance work.


According to CR sources here today, Up slow line services leaving Ghatkopar from 1054 hrs to 1511 hrs will be diverted on Up fast line between Vidyavihar and Byculla stations halting at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar and Parel stations, further will be re-diverted on Up slow line proper at Byculla.

Dn fast line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus from 1008 hrs to 1440 hrs will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts. Up fast line services leaving Thane from 1050 hrs to 1536 hrs will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts.

Up slow line services will not be available at Vidyavihar, Currey Road and Chinchpokli stations. However, passengers of these stations are permitted to travel via Kurla and Byculla station in down direction.

On Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 1043 hrs to 1527 hrs will remain suspended between Panvel and Nerul and Dn Harbour line services to Panvel leaving Nerul from 1041 hrs to 1517 hrs will remain suspended between Nerul and Panvel.

Up Trans Harbour line services towards Thane leaving Panvel from 1105 hrs to 1519 hrs will remain suspended between Panvel and Nerul and Dn Trans Harbour line services from Thane to Panvel leaving Nerul from 1142 hrs to 1448 hrs will remain suspended between Nerul and Panvel.

Panvel - Andheri services will remain cancelled during the block period. Also, special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai Nerul and Thane Nerul sections during the block period.

Following this, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual, the sources added.
