Ex-KGB General says Snowden working for Russia's FSB
Ex-KGB Major General Oleg Kalugin has reportedly claimed that former NSA contractor Edward Snowden is currently working as a consultant or technical advisor for Russia's Federal Security Service.
The former general said that the Russians were pleased with the gifts Snowden had given them as it was the biggest 'intelligence haul' and 'propaganda coup' since the end of Cold war.
According to The Washington Times, the 80-year old ex- spy who was the youngest KGB general in history at age 34 now lives in Maryland after falling out of favor with the Russians in the 90s.
When asked if Snowden is guilty of treason, Kalugin said that the NSA whistleblower is a traitor by American standards, adding that when someone changed sides and goes to the other side, it is a victory.
