Researchers from the University of Bonn have reportedly developed an application that allows users to measure their cellphone use.

Alexander Markowetz, junior professor for computer science at the University of Bonn, said that this app can show in detail what someone's average cellphone consumption per day looks like.

The app dubbed 'Menthal' is said to be compatible with Android 4.0 and its new versions and is available as a free download on Google's Playstore.

A part of a bigger research project regarding the use of cellphones, Menthal is capable of providing reliable data.
