Under an initiative of the Punjab government, Punjab Technical University hosted a two-day University Campus Programme on May 20 and 21 in which about 100 students from Uttarakhand participated.


The faculty of the University, including senior education counsellor Amit Goel, Counsellor Vipin Nain and Kamal, apprised the participants about various opportunities to obtain the B Tech degree.

They said the Punjab University has identified top 30 affiliated colleges of PTU as university campuses to provide quality education at an affordable cost and ensure academic excellence.

These university campuses would also send few selected students to study abroad for high end training, they said.

''Students here will be taught by the professors of top institutes through digital streaming lectures. Each class has an additional available teacher for further explanation and clearing of doubts on the respective subjects like Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering amongst others, said Mr Goel.

The faculties also apprised the participants about the eligibility criteria.

They said the candidates should have appeared in JEE mains conducted by CBSE and final admission was subject to Merit in JEE 2014.
