Following his victory in recent general elections for fourth consecutive time, Shiv Sena deputy leader and MP from Aurangabad city, Chandrakant Khaire, today met party president Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai.

He promised Mr Thackeray to take all efforts to win upcoming Maharashtra assembly polls, scheduled later this year.

Mr Khaire defeated his nearest Congress rival Nitin Patil by a huge margin of 1,62,090 votes.

All newly elected Shiv Sena MP's met Mr Thackeray on very next day of counting. However, Mr Khaire had failed to reach 'Matoshree', residence of the Sena chief in Mumbai yesterday due to health issues. Hence, he met him today.

He was accompanied by Sena leaders Suhas Dasharathe, district chief Anbadas Danve, Narendra Dwivedi, Aurangabad Mayor Kala Ozha, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, Sanjay Shirsath, Harashwardhan Jadhav, former MLA Kishanchand Tanwani and Annasaheb Mane, among others.

Mr Khaire thanked Mr Thackeray and all partymen for their support to win him in this election.
