Two murder cases registered in Thane
Two cases of murder were registered at different police stations in the district.
In one incident, two scrap merchants allegedly stabbed to death a scarp dealer near the Panchal Estate today afternoon in Bhayander town of the district.
The victim, Ramdeep Ramcharan Mourya (55) and the alleged accused had an old dispute and a case was already registered under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code with the Kashimira police station in this regard, police said.
An offence under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC with the Navghar police station, they said and pointed that a hunt has been launched to nab the two killers.
In another incident, a 34-year-old man strangulated to death his mother who had allegedly delayed giving him dinner last night at Jawhar village in the predominantly tribal taluka of the district,police said today.
The absconding accused, Tulsiram Chandar Wad, came home in the night and asked his mother Vansi Chandar Wad (55) for dinner last night.
Annoyed with his mother over the delay in giving him the dinner, he allegedly pulled her saree and strangulated her with an end of the saree, police said.
Following the incident, the father of the accused registered an offence under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code with the Jawhar police station.
Acting on his complaint, a manhunt has been launched for the accused, sources added.
