Modi to address public meeting in his assembly constituency
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who will be taking over as the country's next Prime Minister in coming days, will address a public meeting in his assembly consituency Maninagar in Ahmedabad on May 20.
According to state BJP spokesperson Harshad Patel, Mr Modi will address the public meeting at 1900 hrs in Maninagar, his home constituency, possibly to thank people for their support and outline his vision for the country.
Mr Modi had won from Maninagar Assembly constituency by over 86,373 votes trouncing Congress rival Shweta, the wife of suspended police officer Sanjeev Bhatt, in December 2012.
After leading his party to a massive victory in recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Mr Modi addressed two public meetings in Gujarat -- one in Vadodara and other in Ahmedabad on May 16, the day the results were announced.
