West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu on Friday said Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s strong result in the Lok Sabha polls reflected the victory of Chief Minister Mamata Banererjee and the people of the state.

"It Mamata Banerjee's victory. It is the victory of common man," Basu ttold reporters.

"This is a positive vote which we are seeing in our state," he said.

Speaking on NDA's victory, he said: "UPA's failure is also a reason behind BJP's result across the nation."
