A Talati an official, of co-operative housing society at Nashik was today arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a complaint.


The complainant, who is the secretary of Shilp-villa Co-operative Housing Society, had approached Registrar's office to put up a sign board of the society on its open plot measuring 1,800 sq mtr at Dasak area in Nashik, sources in state ACB here today said.

Talati Vijaysingh Pardeshi at Registrar's office had demanded Rs 5,000 for allowing to put up a sign board on the plot.

He was trapped by ACB sleuths while accepting Rs 3,000 as first installment of bribe amount from the complainant, sources added.
