Punjab stops increments of Agriculture Officer for indiscipline
The Punjab government has stopped the benefit of two annual increments to an Agriculture Development Officer for indiscipline and his absence from the post for uncertain reasons.
The punishment has been slapped under section 8 of Punjab civil services (punishment and appeal) Act, 1970.
Stating this here today, an agriculture department spokesperson said that during a departmental inquiry ADO Gurmukh Singh has been found guilty of indiscipline and non compliance of the departmental orders.
He said that this officer remained absent illegally from June 3, 2010 from his post. Retired IAS officer Manmohan Huria was the inquiry officer in this case, he added.
