Police registers case against polluted vegetable growers
Jaipur city police has registered a case against an alleged polluted vegetable growers in Amanshah nalla at Jaipur today.
Mahesh Nagar Police station in charge Umed Singh said that a complaint has been registered against unknown vegetable growers under directions from Judicial Magistrate no 8, Jaipur city.
Ashok Kumar Sharma filed a complaint in court that some people had occupied some land at the site of the nalla and were growing vegetables by using polluted water that may affect the health of those who consume it.
He cited a report by scientists of Agriculture University of Durgapura that has proved that the vegetable contain chemical that are hazardous to heath.
Jaipur development Authority and other government department have also launched a drive against polluted vegetables growers and destroyed crop in 350 Bhigha land, under the directions of the High Court.
