Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Gopinath Munde said today the 'Mahayuti' (great alliance) will continue in the forthcoming assembly election of the state.


Addressing mediapersons here today Munde said, 'We have had a meeting of state level party office bearers. On the basis of the information provided by the party workers, we are confident about winning more than 35 Lok Sabha seats out of 48 in the state.'

He added, 'During this Lok Sabha election, all the alliance partners have worked together, barring one or two small incidents across the state. Hence, we are breaking our past record of the alliance Lok Sabha seats and we will get more than 35 seats.'

On being asked whether the NDA is going to get support from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to form the government, he said, 'BJP and the alliance are under the leadership of Narendra Modi. We are confident to get absolute majority, so there is no que stion of seeking support from any other party.'

Talking about the Gujarat issue, the BJP leader said, 'The people of Gujarat and Maharashtra are living as brothers. There is absolutely no problem among these community. Secondly, Shiv Sena Chief Udhav Thackeray has already clarified his stand, and this was written in the editorial by the executive editor of the paper too.'

'We will continue to raise issues of adivasis and dalits even after forming our own government,' Munde later added.
