Nissan cars have seen a full-year 10 percent profit following better sales, cost cutting and weaker yen.

According to The BBC, Nissan said that net profits in the year to end-March were 389bn yen, on sales up 20pc to 10.48tn yen.

However, weaker yen has helped the Japan's carmaker, as it inflates profits repatriated from overseas.

Meanwhile, Nissan is increasing manufacturing capacity in Thailand, China and Russia.
