Entrance Examination for admission to proffesional courses, including Medical, Dental and Engineering in Private Colleges of Karnataka, will be held on May 11 and results will be announced on June 4, Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Chief Executive Officer Srikant said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the examinations will be held in 134 Centres across the state and more than 50,000 students, including 26000 from the state, are appearing for the examination.

He said to avoid malpractice, it has been decided to introduce biometric system.

Meanwhile, East Central Railway has announced runninng a special train between Mysore-Barauni to help the students appearing for the COMED K Examination, according to a release by the South Western Railway here.

Accordingly, Train No 05290 Mysore-Barauni train will depart from Mysore at 0715 hrs on May 12 and reach Barauni station at 1530 hrs on May 14.
