The Northern Railways have decided to run 18 Special Holiday trains in view of overcrowding during the summer season.

These trains would specially run between Bihar and Jammu to ease the over crowding because the visitors prefer to spend vacations on mountains and also pilgrimage to Vesho Devi.

A decision has also been taken to run summer special trains on Shimla rail line.

Ambala Cantonment Railway Station Senior Station Manger Sher Singh Jaloria said that all Up and Down trains in northern India pass through Ambala Cantonment station and were over crowded these days.

He said with the running of 18 special trains, the problem of over crowding would be solved to some extent and the passengers would travel in trains without much difficulty.

He said since the people from all over the country come to Shimla and other hilly stations to get relief from the summer, Summer Special trains to be run on the Kalka-Shimla line would attract more and more passengers.
