Odisha launches online project management system
The e-PMS an online Project Management System developed by Cabinet Committee Investment(CCI) Project Monitoring Group (PMG) for Odisha was launched by state Chief Secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra here today.
Explaining the objective and utility of the system Additional Secretary Cabinet Secretariat of Government of India Anil Swarup said the system has been developed to track projects involving investment between Rs 100 crore to Rs 1000 crore.
The system, he said, will automate the entire tracking of all stalled and ongoing investment projects in the context of the bottle necks. It would also facilitate for online submission of projects, editing and updating of the projects, reviewing the projects and submission of details relating to bottlenecks, if any.
The Sub-Group meetings of CCI and decisions taken thereon for removal of bottlenecks have also been integrated with the system which would also provide assistance in preparation of Agenda, minutes of the meetings, various graphical reports and tracking of the actual investment in case of the resolved projects.
Official sources said the system has been made investor friendly and it will automatically eliminate duplicate as well as inconsistent record keeping. Any private entrepreneur or any Department or Ministry willing to start a project of resolve the bottlenecks of nay project can register through http//cabsec.gov.in or http//cabsec. nic.in to get their login credentials. The Chief Secretary said the system will raise and revive the confidence of the investors who can raise their issues through this platform and get the response immediately for resolution of the problems.
He has asked all the departments and implementing agencies to update the latest status of the issues raised by the investors in each week without fail
