Mixed trend in ferrous and non-ferrous metals
A mixed trend was seen in Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In Ferrous metals, Copper heavy rallied by Rs 300 per quintal on sustained demand from stockists.
Brass utensils and Brass cuttings drifted lower by Rs 200 per quintal each on weak demand from stockists.
Other metals including Copper utensils and Aluminium utensils were steady on scattered demand, traders said.
In Non-ferrous metals, Copper wire bars spurted by Rs 300 per quintal on sustained demand from local dealers.
Aluminium ingot drifted lower by Rs 200 per quintal lack of demand, they added. Tin slab rose by Rs 10 per kg each, they added. Ferrous Metals (per quintal): Copper heavy - Rs 49,000, Copper utensils - Rs 46,000, Brass utensils - Rs 34,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 35,900, and Aluminium utensils - Rs 12,900. Non-ferrous Metals (per quintal): Copper wire bars - Rs 52,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,900, Zinc slabs - Rs 17,300, Lead ingots - Rs 14,900, Tin slabs - Rs 1,620 and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,290.
