Gujarat Guv lauds Red Cross Society's contribution to humanity
Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal today said the Red Cross Society was playing a very important role in service to the humanity.
In her message on the eve of the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day, she appealed to the people to join the campaigns of Red Cross.
The Governor said Gujarat Red Cross society has contributed a lot to the service of the people.
Dr Beniwal said the Society has been operating 14 blood donation centres in the state.
It was also providing service to the people by organising blood donation and other camps and also conducting tests of students for thalassemia and sickle-cell anaemia.
May 8 is the birthday of Henry Dunant, founder of the Red Cross.
