Bringing relief to his fans, actor-turned-politician M H Ambareesh was discharged from a city hospital today after he was admitted last night for regular checkup.


The Congress leader had recovered from acute chest infection two months ago, after being treated in Vikram Hospital in the city and later at Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore.

The Housing Minister was back in action late last month and was seen in election campaign in his home district of Mandya and in three segments coming under Bangalore city.

During the weekend, he had travelled to Ooty for a brief stay and while returning to city via Mysore city, where he grew, he reportedly had some health problem.

He reached the city during midnight and went to the hospital, where he was admitted and tests were conducted. Doctors said the actor had no health problems and he was discharged in the afternoon.

Ambareesh and his family went to Bandipur and Ooty during the weekend and returned by car from the Nilgiris.

Speaking to press persons, Ambareesh said though there was some change in his general health, he was keeping well.
