Agitation against Toll hike entered third day and it was intensified with Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today joining agitating Karnataka Rakshana Vedeki (KRV), Cab Operators and Lorry owners on NH 7 leading to Kempegowda International Airport.

The air passengers arriving from various parts of the country and abroad facing hardship in reaching the city on their arrival and even travellers going abroad and to other cities had to shelve down heavy price to reach the Airport.

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) announced hike in toll fee by four times to the existing on May 3 sparking widespread protest by cab drivers and lorry owners in protest against abnormal increase and demanding immediate withdrawal.

Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok along party workers and other agitators staged a dharna demanding immediate intervention of the State government and withdrawal of the hike.
