Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today directed the officers of the state government to allot time exclusively for meeting the public and their elected representatives by avoiding any government meeting during these hours.


Stating this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said in the orders issued here today, Mr Badal expressed deep concern over the rising complaints from the public and their elected representatives that the officers are not redressing their grievances or usually avoid to meet them during the time fixed for them.

Mr Badal has also directed the officers to ensure that no government meeting was kept during the time fixed for the people so that they could be able to meet the officers for their routine matters.

The Chief Minister also directed the officers to duly publicise these timings through display boards outside the offices and through media, so as to make people aware of it.
