Auto giant Tata Motors today launched "Movus", an entry-level utility vehicle, at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).


Powered by 2.2 L VARICOR engine, the vehicle is available in Porcelain White, Meteor Silver in its two variants -- CX and LX.

With a power of 120 PS and torque of 250 Nm, the mileage of the vehicle is 15.16 km per litre.

"The all-new Movus is a great proposition for large families as it is spacious, easy to maintain, economical for both short and long distances, delivering great value without compromising on comfort," Tata Motors president (passenger vehicle) Ranjit Yadav said.

The starting price of Movus is at Rs 6.99 lakh and comes with an enhanced 3-year or 1,50,000 km engine warranty (whichever is earlier).

Mr Yadav said Movus comes at a price point which will provide our customers with best-in-class ride quality, making it a perfect partner for every journey.

The vehicle is commercially available at dealerships located in metros and select cities, the company said in a release.

The vehicle has a large fuel tank of 65 litres and high load carrying capability.
