A call made by an unknown person allegedly saying that an explosive device was planted at the famous Dagduseth Temple here turned out to be hoax.


The city police control room received an anonymous call at around 2020 hrs.

Acting on the information, a bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) along with the sniffer dog reached the spot. They conducted a search of the premises, but found no explosive device, police said.

Talking to UNI, senior police inspector Sawant said all the rituals at the temple and the vehicular traffic were stalled during the search operation to locate the explosive device.

This temple is on the hit list of terrorists.
