Officials recover huge cache of arms in Nadia district of Bengal
Excise officials on Sunday captured huge cache of arms, including 40 country-made pistols and magazines in a passenger bus in the Nadia district of West Bengal.
Officials said that they received information about the arms being transported and then acted on a tip off to seize the arms.
"Investigation is going on to decipher if the arms are from Bangladesh or made locally or elsewhere. May be, they are from Nepal. It is a huge cache of arms that has been recovered; 40 small weapons is no less in number," said commissioner of customs, Shailendra Singh.
A man suspected to be involved in the case was also arrested.
