Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) judge Ashok Soni issued a non-bailable warrant against the Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray after he failed to appeare in the court in the hearing of a case filed in 2008.

Next hearing of the case will be held on May 8.

On October 20,2008 MNS activists pelted stones on the MSRTC bus at Shekata village on Aurangabad-Jalna road. The targeted bus Driver Ibrahim Abdul Salim Pathan had lodged a complaint with Karmad police against the MNS chief and his six supporters.

Police had filed charge sheet in the court after the investigation During the hearing, Mr Thackeray remained absent though he was summoned by the court and filed an application seeking exemption in view of Lok Sabha election.

The court yesterday ruled that election in the state was over by April 24 and rejected his application and issued warrant against him.
