Sarah Palin stands by her waterboarding baptism comment
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is reportedly standing by her recent remark, which she made at the National Rifle Association's annual meeting this weekend, comparing torture with baptism.
Palin had commented that if she were in charge, people would know that waterboarding is how terrorists are baptized.
When asked if she would make the same remark again, Palin responded by saying that had she been in-charge, she would do everything in her power to stop the terrorists who want to annihilate innocent Americans and children, The Washington Times reports.
Meanwhile, Palin's remark has drawn criticism from the right, who deemed her comparison of torture with baptism "sacrilegious".
