The officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today seized 33 kg of gold from a house at Triplicane area in the city.


DRI sources told UNI that acting on a tip-off, a special team raided the house and seized the gold.

The seizure was made from the house of one, Tamim Ansari, who owns a shop at Burma Bazaar in Parrys corner area.

The DRI was questioning the man to ascertain the source from which such a huge quantity of gold was procured.
