Almost cent per cent turn out of voters was reported at a polling booth near Niwai under the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur parliamentary constituency where re-polling was held today.


Of the total 334 voters enrolled on the voter list of the booth No 208 in Arania village near Niwai town, 333 cast their ballots today.

Besides this, four service voters who had voted here during their poll duty on April 24, also exercised their franchise at the booth on the basis of election duty certificate(EDC).

Repoll was ordered at the booth following some irregularities during the polling on April 24.

The polling was held in the constituency on Thursday last along with four other constituencies of Alwar, Dausa(ST), Karauli-Dholpur(SC) and Bharatpur(SC) in the second phase.

The first phase of polling was held on April 17 in 20 of the 25 constituencies in the state.
