Sonia criticises TRS in AP
Launching a tirade against the Telangana Rashtra Samathi (TRS), Congress President Sonia Gandhi today charged that the TRS was interested only in coming to power and self gain.
During her second phase of electioneering in Telangana, Ms Gandhi addressed two well-attended public meetings at Chevella in Rangareddy district and at Andole in Medak district.
Ms Gandhi had to change her travel plans and go by car to Andole after her helicopter developed a technical snag.
In her speech in Andole, Ms Gandhi asked the people not to trust TRS which did not believe in keeping its word.
While the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao was not present in Parliament when the bill seeking create to Telangana came up for discussion, the Congress stuck to its decision for Telangana facing several hurdles and obstacles.
She said the Congress was now committed to the development of Telangana and if voted back to power will start several schemes for its all round growth.
