Priyanka goes aggressive after Vadra video, terms BJP as 'scared rats'
Priyanka Gandhi today went into her most aggressive ever mode after the release of a video by BJP on Robert Vadra's land deals, describing the opposition leaders as ''scared rats scurrying for cover,'', and asserted that she would not be cowed down by their attacks.
''I knew that just a day or two before election, they would be resorting to all kind of lies. There is nothing new in it. I will continue speaking against their destructive, negative and shameful politics. I will not keep silent,'' she said while talking to reporters in Rae Bareli constituency.
Her reaction came shortly after BJP Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad released a video here, to counter Ms Gandhi's increasing attack on their prime ministerial candidate Naredra Modi. The documentary questions the land deals of Priyanka's husbad Robert in Haryana and Rajasthan. ''Baukhlai hue chuhon ki tarah daur rahe hain (They are scurrying away like scared rats),'' she said.
''Let them do what ever they want. Let them do more. I am waiting for it,'' she asserted.
The BJP video titled 'Damad Shree: Robert Vadra get-rich-quick Model' came just a few hours after Ms Vadra, while addressing an election rally in Rae Bareli, had hit out at Mr Modi saying, ''this country does not need a 56-inch chest, but a large heart to run it''. She was mocking at Mr Modi's statement made at a Gorakhpur rally, in which he had said that it would take ''a 56-inch chest to turn Uttar Pradesh into Gujarat.''
