Sehajdhari Sikhs shall give dent to Cong, Akalais by supporting
The campaign of Aam Admi Party in Punjab gains a big boost from the rural segments and has shaken up the Sikh politics with the Sehajdhari Sikhs extending their unconditional support to Kejriwal.
Previously these Sehajdhari Sikhs had been playing a vital role in every elections by extending their unconditional support to the Congress against the SAD because their voting rights in the SGPC elections were curtailed by the NDA Govt. in 2003.
Sehajdhari Sikh Party has broken its ties with the Congress as the Union Govt. failed to support their cause in Supreme Court rather contrarily supported the SGPC by filing affidavits against them. Sehajdhari Sikhs felt cheated and dubbed by the Congress and so they decided to go with Kejriwal.
This was stated here today by Dr. Paramjit Singh Ranu National president of Sehajdhari Sikh party. He affirmed that more than 80 percent of the total world Sikh population are the non-baptized (Sehajdharis) who are treated step-motherly during SGPC elections by the Akali Dal Badal and during general elections they try to harp on the vote bank of the youth of Sehajdharis.
Now approximately 70 lakh Sehajdhari Sikhs shall be supporting AAP in Punjab claims the Sehajdhari Sikh Party by giving a slogan that " Je Shiromani Commette vch vote nahi ta AkaliDal lai koi support nahi" (Means if no vote in SGPC then no support for Akali dal).
