BJP president Rajnath Singh, who is contesting from Lucknow Parliamentary constituency, today held over 30 km long road show in the state capital.

Accompanied by senior party leaders including Lalji Tandon and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Mr Singh addressed around six public meetings during his road show, covering the trans-Gomti area.

However, due to hot weather, the BJP president was forced to sit inside a car after standing for over three hours on an open jeep along with the leaders.

The BJP president was accompanied by over 100 two-wheelers and over 2000 people in the road show, which created traffic jam in the busy Indiranagar and Sitapur areas.

During his address Mr Singh, assured the Lucknowites that he will continue to serve the city, as done by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mr Tandon.

Tomorrow, Mr Singh is expected to hold a similar road show in the old city area.
