Not perturbed by the criticism from Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh against him on his talk of toppling the Congress government after the Lok Sabha electiona in Himachal Pradesh, former BJP Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that people of the state have the unchallenged right to 'dethrone' the anti-people Congress government, headed by Mr Singh.

People will dump it in dustbin, when Congress loses all four Parliamentary seats in the Lok Sabha election to be held on May 7,' Prof Dhumal said in a statement here. He said, as representative of the people and Leader of the Opposition, he has every right to state that the Virbhadra Singh government will stand dismissed as the election results on May 16 will emphatically prove beyond doubt that people have withdrawn from the Congress and the razor thin mandate they gave to it in the Assembly elections of 2009. Prof Dhumal said the Chief Minister enjoys bare minimum support of 35 MLAs with one seat vacant and one Congress MLA was behind bars by facing charges of murder and moral turpitude. He regretted that the 'morally high' Congress and Mr Singh have not so far expelled the legislator from Congress, after he was in jail for the last 16 months.

The former Chief Minister said 'once Congress loses all four seats, its high command will itself show the door to Mr Singh, whose conduct is already under investigation for corruption by the CBI and is involved in many other such cases. The senior BJP leader also said that it is more than certain that its prime ministerial Candidate Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister of the NDA government after May 16. With Congress losing power at the Centre and Mr Singh getting a severe drubbing in Himachal, those in Congress legislature party and those independents supporting it from outside, will themselves desert Mr Singh's 'sinking boat' to save their own future, Prof dhumal said with Mr Singh losing his saviours at Centre and Himachal people withdrawing their mandate, the Congress government in Himachal will collapse under its own weight and contradictions like a house of cards, he added.
