TDP, Cong fails to provide basic needs
Noted water conservationalist and Magsaysay Award winner Rajendra Singh today that both the regimes of Telugu Desam Party and Congress could not provide basic needs such as water to people in the state.
Talking to media here today, Mr Rajendra Singh, along with well known social activist and environmentalist, founding member of Narmada Bachao Andolan and Aam Aadmi Party leader Medha Patkar, stated that none of the major political parties have made any plans for Natural resources or conversation of resources.
He said that Mr Chandrababu approached him on renovation of Swarnamukhi river of Chittoor district, but Babu did nothing about encroachments of river beds. Similarly Musi river was converted into drainage nala.
Ms Patkar said environmental situation and Mining effects are worse in the state and AAP is opposing Metro Rail corridor in Hyderabad. KG Gas extraction led to submergence of sea bed apart from corruption involved in illegal Gas pricing. AAP will strive for Decentralized governance where power lies with People.
AAP Convenor Ramakrishnam Raju spoke about the corruption in Jalayagnam where nearly Rs 60,000 crore has been spent in the name of people. He also said that AP is the topmost state in election expenditure to the tune of nearly 25-30 thousand crores. Fifty per cent of the unaccounted money seized by Election Commission is from Andhra Pradesh. AP was also one of the top states in liquor seize, he added.
AAP Telangana Campaign committee convenor and Chevella MP Candidate Venkat Reddy, Secunderabad MP Candidate Chaya Ratan, Malkajgiri MP Candidate Mr Sudha Kiran and Hyderabad MP Candidate Ms Lubna sarwath and MLA candidates also shared their views.
