Three policemen of the Government Railway Police were today suspended on the charge of allegedly beating journalists last night following an argument over vehicle parking at railway station, GRP sources said.

GRP Superintendent of Police RC Burra suspended Devendra Rajput, Amit Agrawal and Khushilal.

Some mediapersons had an argument with contractors over vehicle parking in railway station premises last night. The matter reached GRP Police Station where GRP officials beat up the journalists.

Journalists Ankur Jaiswal, Deepak and Pradeep were admitted to a private hospital.

Local mediapersons demanded that a criminal case be registered against guilty GRP officials. Meanwhile, Home Minister Babulal Gaur has ordered senior police officials to inquire into the matter. Assistant Inspector General of Police Imran Shah has arrived from Bhopal for the purpose.
