An activist of the banned Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) was today arrested by Madhya Pradesh police's Anti-Terrorist Squad from the station area, ATS sources said.


Gulrez Mustafa, who carried a reward of Rs 15,000 and was accused of providing shelter to SIMI terrorist Abu Faisal, was later produced before a special court, which remanded him in police custody till May 5.

Meanwhile, Faisal, who was taken by Delhi Police team for questioning last week, was brought back today. He was arrested by the state's ATS recently after he escaped from a jail in Khandwa. He is an accused several serious offences.
