Dullo admits existence of Aam Admi Party factor in Punjab
Senior Congress leader and chairman of PPCC Election Coordination Committee Shamsher Singh Dullo today admitted the existence of Aam Admi Party factor in the Lok Sabha elections.
Interacting with the media here, he said that it would be a folly to overlook the existence of any party in the fray, irrespective of its age.
Every party, whether it is a national, regional or a small one, had its own following and every party is polled votes by its voters and supporters, whether in large or less number, he said.
Mr Dullo said he was surprised to see that both Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal had been begging for votes in the name of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
It seems that the Badals have lost the credibility among the people of the state and are depending on Mr Modi to sail them out of the political quagmire due to anti-incumbency ruling the roost in the state, the PPCC Chairman observed.
He said that Badals had become frightened from the Sikh psychic and are assembling around Mr Modi for their smooth political ride. He questioned the Badals for the promises made by Mr Modi during the Jagraon Fateh Rally held in February this year, for taking corrective steps to rehabilitate the Punjabi farmers deserted from Gujarat by the Modi government.
Mr Dullo said the minority community in Gujarat was still under fear.
He condemned the sacrilege act of revenue minister Bikram Majithia of denigrating and distorting the Gurbani to appease and please Arun Jaitley, BJP leader and SAD-BJP candidate from Amritsar.
The state will go to polls in single phase on April 30.
