Unmindful of scorching heat candidates continue campaign
Unmindful of sweltering heat and unbearable sweating, the candidates are going ahead with their election campaign without leaving any place untouched in the Vijayawada Lok Sabha Constituency.
The candidates are climbing hillocks and going through all the slums. YSCP MP candidate, Koneru Rajendra Prasad, who started his election campaign about a month ago, toured all the localities in the city and now concentrating rural areas. The Congress party MP candidate, Devineni Avinash, the youngest MP candidate in the state, started campaign ten days ago. He is campaigning in the city assembly segments. The Telugu Desam Party MP candidate Kesineni Srnivas alias Nani launched his campaign only a week ago, since stalemate prevailed over seat sharing with the BJP.
Fearing the election officers continued monitoring of expenditure, the candidates of main political parties are carrying out campaign without much publicity. As Vijayawada is surrounded by number of hills on one side and the river Krisnna the other, the candidates found it difficult to carry out campaign over the hills and narrow slums.
