Officials of Central Central Branch (CCB) of the city police have arrested four people on charges of betting on the ongoing IPL T20 cricket matches being played Gulf countries and recovered Rs 4.33 lakh cash and mobile phones.

Police said three people were arrested during a raid at Rajarajeswari Real Estate office and recovered Rs 1.2 cash, 5 mobile phones and one car (together worth about Rs 4 lakhs).

The arrested were identified as Divakar, Gautam and Jayant. They were collecting bets on match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkota Night Riders yesterday.

In the second incident, a 26-year-old Mayanna Gowda was arrested and cash Rs 3.13 lakh, six Mobile phones (in all worth about Rs 3,75,000) used for the crime were seized from him.
