Chief of Shivsagram association Vinyak Mete has said he did not leave Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for not getting ministerial berth. Me Mete, addressing media in the district yesterday.


He was replying to a statement of Dy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Mr pawar recently alleged in the Nashik that as NCP did not give ministership to Vinayak Mete, as a result, he left the NCP.

Mr Vinyak Mete said the Democratic Front Alliance (PDF) government had cheated the Maratha community and inspite of several assurance the government did not give reservation to the Maratha community.

He said in assembly session, the Maratha reservation Bill could have been passed, but prior to the discussion, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan adjorned the session.
