Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde today clarified that the Mahayuti was intact and his party stands with their over two-decade-old ally Shiv Sena.

Talking to reporters here he claimed that the Sena-BJP alliance would garner 35 seats out of 48 in Maharashtra in this election.

When asked about the controversy erupting over him seeking Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's (MNS) support for himself, Mr Munde clarified that he has not sought the support of MNS for the six Lok Sabha constituencies of Mumbai which will go to polls on April 24, but for himself.

When his attention was drawn to the rebuttal of MNS chief Raj Thackeray over his support to party's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi by BJP national president Rajnath Singh, he claimed that Mr Singh did not know MNS president personally.
