Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray today challenged the Congress-NCP alliance stating that Shiv Sena is ready for open debate on the issue of corruption which have been taking place in the state during their regime.


While addressing a party rally here tonight at MSM ground in support of party nominee Chandrakant Khaire.

He said, criminal cases has been booked on our candidates. Whereas, Congress-NCP candidates are involved in rampant corruption in the state and have no cases registered against them.

The NCP nominee Padmasinh Patil who was involved in murder case also a close relative of Sharad Pawar, is now roaming freely but our MLA Suresh Jain who in jail since last two years is not even getting bail, he questioned.

Former chief minister Ashok Chavan who was involved in Adarsh scam also a Congress nominee from Nanded so far CBI has not booked him in this case.

State Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar who is also involved in irrigation scams and Chhagan Bhujbal and Sunil Tatkare who were involved in corruption cases have been made party nominees for Lok Sabha election, along with Aurangabad Congress nominee Nitin Patil who was also involved in district bank scam, he alleged.

People in the state as well as in the country were fed up with corrupted government he said and added NDA-led government under the leadership of Narendra Modi will come in to power with majority.

He also alleged that to the Congress has never supported development issues raised by the opposition party.

Mr Thackeray appealed to people of the Marathwas region to vote in favour of Maahayuthi candidate for further development.

On this occasion all the alliance partners officer bearers and candidate were present on the dais.
