'Ship of Theseus ', a Hindi English bilingual directed by filmmaker Anand Gandhi today won the Best Feature film award at the 61st National Film awards while 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ', based on the life of noted Indian sportsperson Milkha Singh won the award for Best popular film providing wholesome entertainment.

'Shahid ', a film based on the life of slain human rights activist and lawyer Shahid Azmi bagged the awards for Best direction and Best actor respectively.

The Marathi film 'Fandry ' won the Indira Gandhi award for Best debut film of a director while Tamil film 'Thalaimuraigal ' won the Nargis Dutt award for Best Feature film on National integration.

Geetanjali Thapa won the award for Best actress for the hindi film 'Liar 's Dice ' while the Best actor award was shared by Raj kumar and Suraj Venjaramoodu for the Hindi film 'Shahid ' and the Malayalam film 'Perariyathavar, ' respectively.
