Gehlot bewares people of Modi-Raje's false promises
Senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has bewared the people of hollow and false promises by his successor Vasundhara Raje and BJP Prime Ministerial pick Narendra Modi and also appealed to them to rely upon Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi and her deputy Rahul's vision and road-map for transformation of the nation.
Gehlot said in a statement at the end of his marathon poll campaign this evening, BJP leaders Modi and Ms Raje were making misleading and false propaganda about the Congress Government's performance and achievements and luring the voters with their mere lip service and fake promises.
Modi neither have any road map, programme or policies for the development of the country and welfare of the people, he was just trying to mislead people with his oratory and indecent and arrogant dialogues/utterances, Mr Gehlot said.
He is trying to belittle the good work of the Congress/UPA led Governments and claiming as if he had got some magic wand to realise everything and solve every issue/problem overnight if voted to power.
"Voters should be made aware of such false claims and promises made by Modi and Ms Raje", Gehlot said.
Lauding party Vice President's road plan of development and prosperity, Gehlot said this would facilitate the nation to achieve the goals and bring prosperity.
Pointing out at 'lack of acceptability for Modi within his saffron camps, the former Chief Minister said veteran BJP leader Dr Murli Manohar Joshi exposed properly the hollowness of Modi's claims and his so hyped Gujarat Model.
