Cong nominee demands removal of DEO in Raje's bastion
Former Rajasthan Minister and Congress nominee from this Parliamentary constituency, Pramod Jain Bhaya, has urged the Election Commission to the District Electoral Officer for his alleged favouritism to the rival BJP nominee and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's son Dushyant Singh.
In a four-page complaint sent to Chief Election Commissioner yesterday, Mr Jain alleged 'DEO Vishnucharan Malik's functioning and approach lacks fairness and impartiality as the officer have sympathy and favour for the BJP and its nominee, who is the son of the Chief Minister'.
The Congress complainant stated that he had lodged complaints before the DEO against the ruling party candidate several times, but none of them were entertained by the electoral officer.
Mr Jain also demanded to declare the constituency as sensitive and polling stations in the 20 Km border belt along Rajasthan- MP interstate border as ultra-sensitive.
