BJP to form govt. in Odisha and Centre- Arun Singh
BJP Odisha in-charge Arun Singh today claimed that the BJP will emerge as the number one party in the 2014 election both in Odisha and the Centre and it was almost certain that Mr Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister of the country.
Mr Singh said there was a country wide wave in favour of the BJP and against the Congress. The BJP, he said, would form the next government both in Odisha and also at the centre. The ruling BJD, he said will not be able to form the government in the state, he added.
The BJP leader alleged that huge money was being distributed by the ruling BJD to influence the voters and demanded the Election Commission to take stringet action to ensure free and fair election. Mr Singh said the BJD and the Congress were engaged in a friendly fight for the last five years just for public consumption.
He said while the Congress said they were giving crores of rupees to the state but the state government could not utilise it, the BJD said the Congress government at the centre was not giving funds for the development of the state. However, there was a tacit understanding between the two parties and for that no action was taken against the state government in the mining scam despite the Shah Commission probing into the scam reported looting of mines worth over Rs 60,000 crores, he said.
The BJP leader said the Naveen Patnaik government had failed in all fronts as poverty, crime corruption and farmers suicide case had increased manifold during the last 14 years. The BJP if voted to power would provide pipe water to every village, electricity to every house, health insurance, gainful employment and good road connectivity, Mr Singh said.
