OCL India's Salobani plant to start commercial production soon
The OCL India Ltd, the flagship associate company of the one of the largest business conglomerates Dalmia Bharat Group, will soon have commercial production from its green field plant at Salobani near Kharagpur in West Bengal.
OCL India Ltd Dy. Executive Director-Sales and Marketing Indrajit Chatterji told newsmen here that the 1.35 million tonne capacity grinding unit at Salobani has already started trial production and at any time it would commence the commercial production.
Mr Chatterji was here to launch the company's new brand Konark DSP Cement in Odisha today which he said would be soon available in three other states such as West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar.
The OCL, he said is setting up another grinding plant in Jharkhand and is going to operationalise the 14.79 million tonne Radhikapur(West) coal block.
Mr Chatterji said with the launch of the Konark DSP, a special cement for casting, the OCL India's turn over in 2014-15 is expected to grow by 25 per cent from the present turn over of around Rs.2000 crore.
One of the fastest growing cement brands in Eastern India from the house of the cement major OCL India Ltd, the new product, he said will offers high endurance concrete casting, high compressive strength, and promises to deliver the assured quality and zero loss in quantity through its tamper and moisture proof.
Superior in strength, smooth surface finish, resilience, and flexibility of application, the Konark DSP Cement, Mr Chatterji said will be an ideal for use in casting or Dhalai like roof slab, column and foundation.
Konark Cement is currently manufactured at its high-capacity, state-of-the-art plants situated in Rajgangpur and Kapilas in Odisha.
