Scores of BJP women activists today staged a protest against Congress national general secretary and Vadodara candidate for Lok Sabha polls Madhusudan Mistry for his remarks on senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj.

More than 150 BJP women activists staged the protest in the morning at Sardar Patel statue in Sayaji Nagar in the city led by party state unit women cell president Jyoti Pandya and party's Vadodara women unit chief Vidyaben Rajput.

Pandya alleged that through his comments, Mistry has insulted women of the country. She demanded that the Election Commission (EC) take strict action against the Congress leader.

The BJP women activists also raised slogans against the Congress.

The BJP has already filed a complaint with the EC against Mistry for making derogatory remarks on Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha over her statement that there was good news for BJP across the country. The BJP has urged the EC to file an FIR against Mistry.

Meanwhile, Mistry, who is contesting against Chief Minister and BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from Vadodara, told mediapersons that he will reply if he receives a notice into the matter.
