New Delhi, Jan 24 : Taking a dig at the Delhi Police, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday posted a video on its Facebook page showing two men in police uniform beating up a civilian.

The video shows two constables beating up the man near Lal Quila in Delhi.

"Delhi police is known to be brutal. Every now and then we hear of stories about Delhi police's brutality," said the party in an accompanying post with the video.

"Here is another such video. Not only does the video clearly show Delhi police's inhuman behavior but also the urban legend of police extorting money is caught on camera," the party stated.

Releasing the video, the AAP asked,"This video was shot by a vigilante near Lal Quila and will the home minister, under whom Delhi police comes, make sure that action is taken against these policemen?"

Meanwhile, media reports said that following the publication of the video, the Delhi Police has suspended three cops pending inquiry.

Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal ended his dharna here after two policemen were sent on leave.

According to reports, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung offered to send Station House Officer (SHO) of Malviya Nagar police station and in charge of the Paharganj PCR Van on leave.

The AAP supporters and the Delhi Police personnel fought pitched battles at the dharna by Kejriwal and his people outside the Rail Bhavan here to demand accountability of the Delhi Police in matters of crime against women and to bring it under Delhi government.
